Mitsubishi Roamer

Mitsubishi Roamer made in approx 1987. Model No - MT-397FOR6A. Serial No - 03499.

Phone measures 21cm high x 8cm wide x 4.5cm deep. Antenna is 14cm long. Weight of package is 2.2kg.

Mitsubishi Roamer sounds more like a car than a phone, but these unusual phones were sold under that name. They are unusual phones in that the battery is attached to the side of the phone. This example is in good used condition, with some scuffs, dings and wear and tear. The antenna is bent (see photo).

The huge charger weighs over 1kg and is in full working order. It will charge a battery attached to the phone and spare battery at the same time. It too is in good used condition, with general wear and tear. Both batteries hold some charge and power up the phone, but the phone only displays "Error 2" and pressing the buttons does not make any difference.

Package comprises of the phone, two batteries and the charger which has a UK type 3-pin plug. It is guaranteed to power up for 30 days from delivery. See
The Smallprint for details.

Price is £149 including delivery to anywhere in the world by registered post. Because of weight restrictions this phone may be sent in two packages.

Maxon EPC590E

Maxon EPC590E made in approx 1989.

Phone measures 19.5cm high x 5.5cm wide x 4.5cm wide. Antenna is 9.5cm long. Weight of package is 1.4kg.

This is a brand new phone that has never been removed from the box, as it was unsold stock from a mobile phone shop. The first two photos are of the actual phone in its box and the other four photos are of an identical phone. This is a very striking and unusual phone that is in perfect condition. The outer box and user manual have suffered from some damp/water damage, but everything else is perfect. Even though we have not tested the phone, it is guaranteed to power up for 30 days from delivery. See
The Smallprint for full details.

Package consists of the outer box, inner box, phone, battery, antenna, charging stand, adaptor with a UK 3 pin plug and user manual.

A rare chance to own a new in the box vintage phone.

Price is £89 including delivery to anywhere in the world by registered post.

Philips PCR30

Philips PCR30 made in approx 1987. Serial No - 14000006322

Phone with battery attached measures 19cm high x 5.5cm wide x 7cm deep. Antenna is 13cm long. Weight of package is 1.1kg.

This stunning analogue phone is very rare, and not many examples have survived. It is in excellent condition and looks to have been little used. These phones were not made in large numbers and so few have probably survived. It has only a few small marks on it and would make a fantastic display piece. The charger plugs straight into the battery and still holds a charge. The phone powers up, but is locked and we do not have the code. It is guaranteed to power up for 30 days from delivery. See
The Smallprint for details.

Package comprises of the phone, battery, leather case and a non-original charger.

A very rare chance to own this huge phone, in excellent condition.

Price is £119 including delivery to anywhere in the world by registered post.

Rabbit Phones & Rabbit Sign

Rabbit hansets and sign from 1992/3.

Phones measure 17.5cm high x 6cm wide x 3.5cm deep. Each side of the sign measures 24cm high x 20cm wide. The package weighs 3.5kg.

This is the rarest item that we have for sale. The phones and accessories themselves are not very rare, but the sign is very, very rare and is one of only three that we know to exist in the world, although there are still a few flat type Rabbit signs about. The story of Rabbit phones is best told here
Rabbit history

Of the three phones for sale here, one is in very good condition and the other two have some wear on the buttons. All three phones power up. They take 2 x AA re-chargeable batteries (not included) and are charged up using the charging cradle included. The cradle is in very good condition and still works. The base station is also in very good condition and powers up, although we have not tested to see if it works. The base station was to enable the phones to be used in the home. There is a user manual for the phone and charger, and one for the base station. The manuals are in very good condition.

The sign itself is in good condition considering that it has been mounted on a wall, possibly for several years
in a train station or similar. It obviously has wear & tear and a little rust, but is intact except for a few screws and screw caps on the top. It has two holes on one side, which would have been used to mount it to a wall.

Package consists of the sign, 3 x phones, charger with a UK type plug, base station with a UK type plug and user manuals.

A unique opportunity to own a piece of British telecommunications history.

Price is £299 including delivery to anywhere in the world by registered post.

Mitsubishi Roamer

Mitsubishi Roamer made in approx 1987. Model No - MT-397FOR6A. Serial No - 09401

Phone measures 21cm high x 8cm wide x 4.5cm deep. Antenna is 14cm long. Weight of package is 860g.

Mitsubishi Roamer sounds more like a car than a phone, but these unusual phones were sold under that name. They are unusual phones in that the battery is attached to the side of the phone. This example is in used condition, with some scuffs, dings and wear and tear. The antenna is bent, the strap has been cut and the battery does not lock into place. The battery fits into place, but the internal piece of plastic that locks it is broken.

We do not have the charger to test this phone, so it is sold with no guarantee. Package consists of the phone and battery only.  The 9v battery in the sixth photo is not included. it is to show the size of the phone.

A good used example of this very collectible phone.

Philips Mini Porty

Philips Mini Porty made in approx 1991. Serial No - 24513239

Phone measures 20cm high x 6.5cm wide x 5cm deep. The antenna is 17.5cm long. Weight of package is 855g.

This huge, rare phone was made by Philips, who in the late 80s were one of many companies that got into the mobile phones market. Philips never sold a huge number of phones, so not many have survived the past 20 or so years. This example was made for the C-Netz network in Germany, which is now obsolete. A card (credit card size) was pushed into a slot at the top of the phone to activate it.

The phone is in very good to excellent condition with only small marks. The battery seems to be an after market replacement and doesn't seem to hold a charge, but the phone powers up when the adaptor is plugged in at the base. When it is powered up, it displays "Karte Bitte" which is German for "Card Please", but as no card will work in it, it won't display anything else. The antenna swings out from the side of the phone.

Package comprises of the phone, non-original battery and non-original adaptor with a UK type 3-pin plug. This phone is guaranteed to powwer up for 30 days from delivery (see
The Smallprint for full details).

Price is £69 including delivery to anywhere in the world by registered post.

Hagenuk MT 900

Hagenuk MT 900 made in approx 1993. Serial No - 4023232.

Phone measures 21.5cm high x 6.5cm wide x 5cm deep. Weight of package is 570g.

The Hagenuk MT 900 was, alongside the Motorola International 3200, the first ever digital phone. It uses a large SIM card that pushes into a slot in the battery compartment. It works on GSM900 so a working example could still be used on today's networks.

The phone itself is in good used condition with general wear and tear, including some small scratches on the sides and screen. These are very strong phones, which is why they were nicknamed "bricks", so there is no major damage. We tested it with a working battery, but it does not power up, so is sold as a prop only.

Package comprises of the phone and battery

A very collectable and huge phone that is part of mobile phone history.

Price is £59 including delivery to anywhere in the world by registered post.
